Professional Editing Reimagined for Mobile
LumaFusion was designed by professional editors for mobile. Not quickly ported from desktop editing software. So you’ll find all the pro features you love without the cryptic menus and stodgy editing paradigms.
If you’re an experienced editor, you’ll feel a sense of freedom and creativity that you haven’t felt since the first cut you ever made.
If you’re just getting started editing… well, you may get spoiled and expect all editing to be this fun!
Timeline management? Yes, please.
Because LumaFusion was created by designers and engineers that each have over 30 years experience creating some of the leading desktop editing systems, they’ve seen it all. The Good, the Bad and the Ugly.
And when it comes to managing a timeline there’s several schools of thought.
Some systems insist that there are NO tracks and you must magnetically edit, without regard for a world where we do layer, we do mix and we do love our tracks.
While others systems expect you to be able to stay in sync while not giving you the tools you need like Insert and Overwrite, or the ability to link clips together or move multiple clips around the timeline at once.
But LumaFusion is a born from the battles of the last 30 years of non-linear editing. It has an old soul and a fresh new editing engine. So when you edit with LumaFusion and you ask…
“Can I do magnetic editing?” the answer is YES.
“Can I lock a track?” YES
“Can I choose Insert, Overwrite or Replace?” YES
“Can I export only my audio tracks?” YES
“Can I set track levels as well as clip levels?” YES
“Can I stay in sync on a long project?” YES
“Can I multi-select and move a group of clips?” YES
“Can I Cut, Copy, Paste?” YES
We think you get the picture… or should we say ‘video’?
4K on an iPad?
LumaFusion has 12 tracks, and 6 of those tracks can hold video, photos and titles. If your device supports 4K then those 6 tracks can each hold 4K video with effects, color correction and transitions. If you’re an audio editor, you can use the remaining 6 for audio, or choose to fill all twelve with audio! It’s up to you.
And unlike other ported apps, LumaFusion is built to take full advantage of Apple’s carefully optimized audio-video framework for iOS, making playback more smooth than some of the most powerful desktop systems.
So if you’re worried that lightweight LumaFusion can’t handle your big, heavy media ask yourself, “Can my desktop handle it?” If not, maybe it’s time to upgrade to LumaFusion on an iPad Pro.
Single clip? Let’s get this done quick!
While LumaFusion is great for layering and crafting long projects, sometimes you just want to quickly crop, straighten, mirror, color correct, change the aspect ratio, adjust the audio levels, trim or slow a clip. Or maybe you have a thing for kaleidoscopes!LumaFX is the place to go for that single clip workflow.
There’s no need to create a project, or make complex decisions about frame rate or bit rate just to export a single clip. While you can adjust all those things in LumaFX, we’ve made sure that the default settings are as close to your original clip as possible saving you a lot of guesswork.
Do I need both LumaFusion and LumaFX?
The entire LumaFX effects editor is already included in LumaFusion, and it’s even more powerful there since you can layer tracks upon tracks of clips with effects.
But whether you need LumaFX as a separate App or not, depends on how often you want a super fast, single clip workflow.
With a very low price, LumaFX will likely pay for itself in a matter of minutes… especially if you’re charging editor rates!
