Terri Morgan

Terri Morgan

Co-Founder, Product Design

Terri has been a professional in the video industry for over 30 years, working as product manager, designer and subject matter expert for companies such as Lightworks, Tektronix, Fast Multimedia, Pinnacle Systems and Avid.

Video editing has been her life-long passion and she brings that passion to LumaTouch.

Prior to co-founding LumaTouch she was Senior Principal Product Designer and Product Manager at Avid creating Pinnacle Studio for PC and Pinnacle Studio for iOS.

Terri received her BA in Visual Communications from the Evergreen State College, and her Professional Certificate in Human Centered Design and Engineering from University of Washington.

Chris Demiris

Chris Demiris

Co-Founder, Engineering

Chris has over 30 years of software engineering and leadership experience, specializing in video and GPU video processing technologies.

He co-founded Hollywood FX in 1993, delivered an award-winning line of 3D video motion graphic products, and helped engineer the sale of Hollywood FX to Pinnacle Systems in 1999. As part of the Pinnacle Studio team at Pinnacle, Avid and then Corel, he created and integrated numerous technologies and products for 3D motion graphics, GPU video processing, digital-rights-management, and much more.

He led the development and release of the highly-successful Pinnacle Studio for iPad (previously Avid Studio).

Chris received his BS in Computer Science at Westminster College.

Androu Morgan

Androu Morgan

Director of Quality Assurance

Androu leads quality assurance testing, provides technical support, and consults on editing feature design.
Androu has been a video editor for the best part of 30 years. He began his career in London as an offline editor for One Zero Nine Productions working on a variety of programs. With the advent of non-linear editing he found a position with Lightworks as a technical support specialist.
He has had a strong involvement with various non-linear editing systems in the past 15 years including Avid Media Composer, Newscutter, FAST Systems 601, Pinnacle Liquid, Premiere Pro and FCPX.
Most recently he worked as an independent videographer and editor in the Pacific Northwest.

 

Chris Morrissey

Chris Morrissey

Software Engineer

Chris brings over 20 years’ experience in consumer products and technology leadership at Procter & Gamble before transitioning into software development.

At P&G, he delivered technology for some of the biggest consumer brands in the world. In addition, he worked on key supplier relationships establishing strong partnerships and technology portfolios.

He brings a passion for delivering new products and experiences to customers as well as for iOS and MacOS development. Chris received his BS in Chemistry at Marquette University and PhD in Chemistry at the Pennsylvania State University.

Scott Squire

Quality Assurance

Scott breaks LumaFusion so you don’t have to! With more than 20 years doing documentary work, Scott is excited to be making and polishing the tools that help storytellers tell their stories. He’s thrilled to give LumaFusion users the kind of support he’s always wanted to receive.

In addition to product testing and customer success, Scott frequently works both sides of the camera for Luma Touch’s video productions.

Scott holds a graduate degree in Journalism (UC Berkeley), is the DP of a Sundance-supported feature documentary, has published several books of photography, hears he’s a pretty good husband, and is the father of a rambunctious son. He is also a year-round Seattle bike commuter, which makes him at least 16% more badass.

Jasmine Hoff

Jasmine Hoff

Quality Assurance Specialist

Jasmine Hoff has a BA in media studies and film with a minor in psychology from the Evergreen State College.

As far as filmmaking goes, Jasmine has tried everything she can get her hands on, from flatbed film editing on a Steenbeck to filming with a 16mm Bolex camera to working with digital media. But her favorite camera to shoot with is still her trusty Nikon D3 100.

Jasmine was a production assistant while interning for a large post-production company in Seattle. She has experience working with foley, taping auditions, client services, studio operation, and much more. Jasmine has a thirst for knowledge of all kinds and continues to go to school for veterinary medicine prerequisites while working for Luma Touch.

Andrew Madsen

Andrew Madsen

Principal Engineer

Andrew has been developing for Apple platforms for 15 years, with a particular focus on media, especially audio programming. He loves working on tools that enable creative people to do great work.
Andrew started his career as a hardware engineer primarily working on robotics with experience doing analog, digital, and mixed-signal design. A love of the Mac and Apple platforms led him to transition to Mac and then iOS development. As part of the engineering team at Mixed In Key he contributed to and led development of several award-winning music applications for the Mac and iOS.
Before joining the Luma Touch team, he spent the previous 4 years teaching iOS development at DevMountain, as well as creating the iOS program at Lambda School and leading all curriculum development there.
Andrew received a BS in Electrical Engineering at the University of Utah, where he focused on analog and RF design.

Raija Gjelsteen

Raija Gjelsteen

Software Test Engineer

Raija joined the team after graduating from the University of Colorado-Boulder. At LumaTouch, Raija plans to build new software skills, and assist the team in delivering their exceptional product. She is particularly interested in testing that ensures a great customer experience.

Keith Bubach

Keith Bubach

Customer Support and Quality Assurance

Keith is an EMMY award winning Video Storyteller, Photojournalist and Editor
with over 20 years of experience in all aspects of video production. He is a graduate of the University of North Dakota, with a BA in journalism.

Woking with the team at LumaTouch gives Keith the opportunity to help other storytellers and editors create videos that inspire, entertain and
educate.

Prior to joining LumaTouch, Keith spent the last 10 plus years running a boutique video production company in Seattle, focused on Corporate, Non- Profit and Documentary storytelling.

In his free time Keith enjoys spending time with his family, and exploring the
mountains of the Pacific Northwest.

Max Crowell

Max Crowell

Customer Support and Quality Assurance

Originally from Kansas, Max was brought to the PNW by serving in the US Navy where he worked as an Interior Communications Electrician. After his time in the military, Max followed his dream of attending film school and obtained an AA in Digital Media Arts from Bellevue College. He has since worked for companies like Yuen Lui Studios and KOMO News, and has brought his combined knowledge of media production and client relations to the LumaTouch team.

When Max isn’t editing, you can usually find him with a video game controller in his hand, at the dog park or on the hunt for a new nightlife spot in Seattle. He’s also an avid fan of interactive novels and pro wrestling.

Amy Benson

Amy Benson

Customer Support Specialist

Amy is part of the LumaTouch quality assurance team. She has been producing, directing and editing documentary films for over 15 years. She is passionate about all aspects of filmmaking from concept to postproduction. She especially loves the struggle and magic that happen during the editing process. She is thrilled to be working with LumaTouch customers with all levels of experience to help their projects come to fruition.

Her Sundance-supported feature documentary, Drawing the Tiger, premiered at Hot Docs in 2015 and received awards from festivals around the world. She continues to work with the protagonists of the film in documenting their lives in Nepal. She believes that stories are what make us human, and the ability to tell our own stories is the answer to what ails us.

Project Manager

As Luma Touch’s project manager, Emma interprets operations to inform decision making and scopes the team’s efforts with care. Emma is most at home when they are creating and leading. They graduated with a BS in Games with a focus on production, which they put to work on many projects. Their management experience includes producing several successful crowdfunding campaigns, heading an independent gaming community with prominent industry partners and sponsors, and self publishing a highly rated roleplaying game. If Emma isn’t managing a project, you can find them in the mountains!

Caroline Scott

Caroline Scott

Content Creation Specialist

Caroline is a video producer and presenter at LumaTouch, shooting and editing a range of content designed to inspire and educate our users. With an extensive background in broadcast journalism and news innovation, Caroline has a passion for storytelling and reaching audiences in new and exciting ways. She’s shot content for a multitude of broadcasters, and has trained thousands of TV producers and journalists in content creation. In her spare time, you’ll find Caroline scouting London for line dance events and country music gigs – a hobby of hers that has seen her interviewed many times on national TV in the UK, as her alter-ego ‘City Cowgirl’. As a certified LumaTouch trainer, Caroline also runs the LumaTouch Academy, holding live lessons and webinars for our customers around the world. Caroline received a BA in Multimedia Journalism from Bournemouth University.

Kevin Bourke

Public Relations

Kevin Bourke is the founder and principal of BourkePR, a public relations and communications consultancy specializing in the media/entertainment, production, post-production and music tech space.

Kevin provides PR counsel and outreach for Luma Touch.
