CREATOR SHOWCASE

“LumaFusion is an easy to use tool and at the same time a complex and powerful one. With it you’re not afraid of exploring or accepting new challenges. So you can just try and see what happens. There is always a way to do what you’re imagination tells you.”

Leonor Suárez is an award winning TV journalist and filmmaker from Spain.

Since she discovered she could shoot and edit broadcast-quality documentaries with her phone and tablet, she’s produced tens of stories that have been awarded, among others, the Thomson Foundation Mobile Journalism, Mojofest, Mojo Italy or iPhone Film Festival prizes.

She uses LumaFusion as her favorite tool as she considers it a powerful and fully professional and, at the same time, an easy to use editing program where there are not entry barriers for storytellers and journalists without a technical background.

She is currently a news editor for the public television of the Principality of Asturias and a teacher of Mobile Journalism at UOC (Universitat Oberta de Catalunya). She’s been a speaker at the main international mobile journalism conferences.

For her, shooting and editing on mobile devices means the real freedom to tell any story, anywhere, and under any circumstances, a ‘must’ now for journalists and a change maker for journalism, as pandemic has proof.

During the lock down, the TV show she runs was able to remain on air thanks to a workflow based on mobile devices. For months, she edited her broadcasted stories from home using LumaFusion.

As an enthusiast of traveling and also a history researcher, she also considers these to be the right tools to tell the stories she comes across traveling or the ones she unearths on the archives.
